Super Fast Broadband connectivity with no need for any phone lines!

VFast Internet are a Kent Based Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) that offer a solution to rural and urban areas alike that are unable to receive a fast and reliable broadband connection. The service is delivered via a small wireless antenna that is fixed to the outside of the client’s property and then cabled to the inside of the property using RJ45/CAT5 ethernet cabling, terminating into a compatible cable router or single PC. The VFast wireless network utilises gigabit fibre from sister company Orbital Net, enabling networks that provide coverage spanning right the way across kent and into Sussex. Packages offer speeds of upto 24Mbps download and 10Mbps upload with prices starting at £24.99 per month and installation costing £99 with a free site survey.

Note: VFAST also provide ADSL services nationally outside their existing WiMax coverage area.

Headcorn Weather and the amateur radio voice/data services available here are now provided using Vfast internet with hosting by Hostmonster. The Vfast site survey and install was completed within an hour and the VMAX package here is delivering speeds in excess of many cable packages.

Typical daytime speeds obtained here in Headcorn on the VMAX package (£36.99/Month) are 15-20 Mbps downstream and 2-10 Mbps upstream however off peak these often increase to the service maximum and sometimes beyond with speeds in excess of 30 Mbps downstream and 16 Mbps upstream having been obtained.

Provided you have a line of sight path to the repeater you have a good chance of being able to receive a service. WiMax technology also offers fast upstream bandwidth. All installs are subject to a site survey at which time signal strength is assessed.

The results below are actual measures obtained here in Headcorn using the VFAST VMAX package. Trend data shows performance over time which far exceeds anything offered by standard ADSL1. Please feel free to use the contact form if you have any questions, drop me a tweet @headcornweather or contact VFAST direct using the contact details and regional code above.
